Around our community of faith, we've dubbed small groups as the place where the good stuff happens. It's our way of saying that small-group life is the most vital part of church life. If Sunday School is the place where your groups connect, then these same principles would apply.- We may have big outreach events, but without small groups they fall flat.
- We may preach with transforming passion, but without a small-group outlet to talk through what's happening and to maintain accountability the words fade away.
- We may lead fantastic worship, but without small groups to foster community we might as well worship at home with one of those TV worship bands because we don't know the people we're worshipping with anyway.
Do you see what I'm saying? Small Groups are such an essential piece of the puzzle that we would be crazy to relegate them to a second-class ministry in our churches. The fact of the matter is that they are the very fuel for everything else we do.
